Ferro Silicon  Aluminum is a composite deoxidation agent, its density is greater than the density of pure aluminum, easy to enter the molten steel, less internal combustion.

 

In steelmaking process, the deoxidation effect is twice times of pure aluminum deoxidation effect, it is easy to rise on the surface of molten steel, reduce the inclusions of molten steel and improve the quality of molten steel.

 

Ferro Silicon  Aluminum can effectively improve the inclusions in molten steel, reduce the content of oxygen elements in molten steel, especially suitable for deoxidation and desulfurization of continuous casting molten steel.

一、What is silicon aluminum iron?
Silicon aluminum iron alloy is a deoxidizer used in steelmaking production, which improves the morphology of inclusions and reduces the gas element content in steel liquid. It is an effective new technology to improve steel quality, reduce costs, and save aluminum. For the production of silicon aluminum iron alloys, there are two types of raw material processing methods: ore reducing agents that are directly fed into the furnace through batching, and ore reducing agents that are first treated by pelletizing before being fed into the furnace.


二、What are the uses of silicon aluminum iron?
Silicon aluminum iron can improve some impurities in the steelmaking industry and reduce the elements of gas in the steel liquid. It has a very good product for improving steel quality, improving steel quality, reducing costs, and saving aluminum. Therefore, it is very suitable for use in steelmaking and has been widely applied. The deoxidation requirements for continuous casting molten steel have been proven in practice to not only meet the deoxidation requirements for steelmaking, but also have desulfurization performance and advantages such as high specific gravity and strong penetration.


三、What are the characteristics of silicon aluminum iron?
(1)The use of silicon aluminum iron alloy for deoxidation has been proven to be effective in practical applications. Compared with using aluminum deoxidation, not only is the yield of aluminum higher, the amount of residual aluminum easier to control, and the morphology of inclusions also changes;


(2)After using silicon aluminum alloy, the element recovery rate is high, mainly because the alloy density increases. The aluminum density is 2.7g/cm3, the silicon aluminum iron density is 3.5-4.2g/cm3, and the final slag density of steelmaking is generally 2.8-3.2g/cm3. Therefore, the alloy will sink below the slag surface after addition, effectively controlling the oxygen reaction between aluminum, air, and slag;


(3)The deoxygenation effect is good, and it is generally believed that complex deoxygenation products are generated, and the activity of oxides is reduced, which is conducive to the deoxygenation reaction;


(4)Easy to generate low melting point, which makes inclusions easy to aggregate and promotes upward removal. When deoxidizing with silicon aluminum iron, the total aluminum content in the steel is higher in the former than in the latter, while the acid soluble aluminum in the latter is higher than in the former. This indicates that when using silicon iron, the inclusion of aluminum oxide is reduced.


四、What are the advantages of silicon aluminum iron?
  (1)The use of silicon aluminum iron alloy for deoxidation has been proven to be effective in practical applications. Compared with using aluminum deoxidation, not only does aluminum yield higher, the amount of residual aluminum is easier to control, and the morphology of inclusions is also improved.


(2)After using silicon aluminum alloy, the element recovery rate is high, mainly due to the increase in alloy specific gravity. The aluminum specific gravity is 2.7g/cm3, the silicon aluminum iron (FeAl30Si20) specific gravity is 3.5-4.2g/cm3, and the final slag specific gravity in steelmaking is generally 2.8-3.2g/cm3. Therefore, after adding the alloy, it will sink below the slag surface, controlling the oxygen reaction between aluminum, air, and slag.
